Return of the Famous 45 Ultras

Following incidents at Sligo Rovers vs Droghdea United April 27th 2013. Drogheda's board of management released the following statement.

"Drogheda United has banned over 20 individuals from attending games following crowd disturbances during an Airtricity Premier Division clash against Sligo Rovers on Saturday, April 27.

The club resolved to issue the bans after scenes of "hooliganism" marred the 2-2 draw against Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds.

In a statement released on the club's official website, Drogheda United revealed that, after reviewing footage and consulting witnesses, it had sanctioned offenders with season-long bans, but indicated that others would be served with life-time bans.

The board of management of Drogheda United took the decision to prevent those responsible for the disturbances from attending further games with the aim of creating "a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all supporters of Drogheda United and indeed the League of Ireland in general."
Against local rivals Dundalk on the 7th of March 2014 the Ultras made their return. Although Famous 45 Ultras made a return for the 2013 FAI cup final this was their first time in United Park after the Drogheda board of management over turned the bans.
